Local boy competes to sing National Anthem at NFR

Silver Valley 6-year-old Christopher Sverdsten has been singing for the past few years. He found his passion from his father, Chris, who performs in a local band called Sverwood.

Christopher has made it to the top 8 in this competition. He’s the only child competing, amongst other adults from across the country.

The Silver Valley boy said he watches his competition. “I want to see if I think they’re actually better, but no,” Christopher said on Monday while laughing.
